FAVA hosts several events and community concerts each year. You do not need to be a member of FAVA to attend! FAVA will host TWO Concerts in the 2023 Spring Session: Songs of the Renaissance and Songs of Home and Travel.
Fall Concerts
Every semester, the students have two opportunities to share what they are learning and to perform for family, friends, and the community. In years past, FAVA has hosted different themed concerts such as America: A Musical Melting Pot and Broadway Musicals. We welcome all to attend and enjoy but in order to participate, students and adults must be enrolled in the Fall Semester. During Covid lieu of a public concert, the FAVA choirs created music videos to share with the community.

Spring Concerts
Each Spring, FAVA hosts one concert in February, which usually highlights a particular composer or classical style of music. In years past, the choirs of FAVA have hosted concerts such Songs of Romance, Mostly Mozart (Concert of Classical Era Music), and FAVA Goes Baroque. Students must be enrolled in the Spring Semester to participate. All community concerts are free and open to friends, family, and the public. This spring due to Covid and CA restrictions, FAVA students and adult choirs will create two video projects to be shared online in lieu of their annual spring concert.
Spring Sing & Annual Auction
FAVA’s year of singing culminates in a silent auction and show. Each choir and guest soloists entertain the attendees as they bid on auction items such as tickets to Disneyland for a family of 6, a VIP tour of the Rose Parade floats, annual passes to the Huntington Gardens, excursions to the Channel Islands, private voice lessons and so much more. Past themes have been Mostly Movies: Concert and Silent Auction & An Old Fashion Musical Revue.

Annual Community Christmas Concert
The first week of December, FAVA heralds in the Christmas season by hosting a FREE Community Christmas Concert. All three choirs share traditional carols, Christmas classics, seasonal hymns and holiday favorites. The concert always begins and ends with joint songs sung by all three choirs. Our Adult Festival Chorus is usually joined by a Bell Choir and a few soloists as well.
The Christmas concert is FAVA’s gift to the SGV Community. It is free to attend but donations are humbly accepted. Students and Adults must be enrolled in Fall Semester in order to participate in FAVA’s annual Christmas Concert. This year’s Community Concert was a series of Christmas songs shared virtually and online.
